It all adds up to an exceptional dining experience!

"Perfection!" 9 of us dined here. From the second we walked in we were met with a warm welcome by Trish who was attentive, warm and fun from start to end. Two vegans were part of the group and there was a full vegan menu - the bread and sides for same were preferred by all. Every course on all menus was faultless. The ambience and decor of the venue was fantastic. All agreed we would return to Cork just to return here; it's a must ! When I asked Trish to pass on compliments to the chef, Trish advised she was the head chef - hopefully you're lucky enough to have her out the front on your visit ! All other servers were a pleasure to deal with, too.

"Fantastic Food!" We had dinner here one evening recently and I just cannot praise it enough. The food, staff and atmosphere were exceptional and it was possible to get excellent vegan dishes without feeling from outer space. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Cork City.

"Really, really good food and a great overall dining experience" Went here with the family and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we had in a long time. The boy (well, he is a young man really) proclaimed that it was the best steak he had ever eaten and that is endorsement enough for me. My vegan daughter was also very impressed with her dinner and she is normally not easily pleased! From the warm welcome at the start through to the highly efficient, friendly and professional service, the superb presentation and the very good food in the lovely surroundings of this old building everything was just spot on. Well done indeed.

"Sublime!" Visited on a Thursday evening in June, got a table without a reservation. I'm a Cork native and to my shame it was my first time in Jacob's! Lovely setting and decor - I love the trees in the hanging pots :-) Service was good - attentive without being overbearing. Food was delicious: €26.95 for the two-course set menu, and the portions were a decent size. We were able to linger over our coffee and tea without any bother. A great dining experience and one that I'll be repeating.
