"Should be top Spot"
Jacobs lagging in the mid 40's in Cork's best restaurant category is a joke!
I've been eating there for years and could seriously not fault one adpect of it.
Set in an old Turkish bath building the decor & ambience are top notch & and in my opinion this is as vital an element as the food in the whole dining out experience.
The staff are attentive, professional & extremely pleasant.
The choice of breads served complimentary after your order is placed is only sublime.
There is always a wide variety of cuisine on offer & the quality is always top class plus a great choice of wines also from an extensive menu.
I"ve taken guests from all over the country to eat there over the years and they've always been blown away by the place.
I just don't know if its people like me who take it for granted or diners trying to keep it a secret to make sure they"ll get a booking there that we just don"t bother reviewing it. So I would urge the diners in those categories to take 5 out, do the review & get Jacobs up the ladder to the No1 slot where it deservingly belongs as Cork's best Eatery.
