One MICHELIN Star

Property Overview

Proud to be voted UK's number one restaurant by Harden's Sunday Times Food List 2014

Food and wine at Gidleigh Park are truly special. Michael Caines MBE is one of the UK’s most inspirational chefs, with two Michelin stars to his name.

Michael trained with leading chefs such as Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, Bernard Loiseau and Joël Robuchon in Paris. The style of Michael’s dishes is classic and highly innovative, modern European yet firmly rooted in the West Country.

Whether you are joining us for lunch, afternoon tea or dinner, you will find dishes that use the very best of fresh local produce, supplemented by our Kitchen Garden – cooked and presented with the same passion for perfection.

Our delicious breads are all homemade as are our marmalades, biscuits and scones. Meat, fish and other products are sourced from specialist suppliers throughout the South West.

Alongside its outstanding cuisine, Gidleigh Park has long enjoyed the reputation of having one of the finest wine lists in the United Kingdom. The cellar houses more than 1,300 bins (about 13,000 bottles), stored in optimum conditions.
