Afternoon lunch
We have a lovely afternoon lunch with the family here. Menu options for the whole family were excellent from steak, veggies and kids menu along with few afternoon cocktails.

Located in the elegant University area of Belfast and beside the Botanic Gardens the setting alone makes this a relaxed place to dine. All helped by the attentive and friendly staff. The food is of great quality, and clearly uses local produce which always is encouraging, and yet with a flourish which gives it a special stylish taste. One of my favourite restaurants in Northern Ireland, and to be higly reccommended for visitors to Belfast.

"Consistently reliable"
We have been going to Deans at Queens for the last ten years and it is our favourite restaurant. The menu has a decent range of dishes and the chicken is always a good standby choice. Fish is excellent. .

"Never fails"
I confess that I am a huge fan of Deane's at Queens. I have been a regular customer foremost 10 year-end I have never been disappointed.Last evening I went with two very old friends. We sat outside, as did most of the guests. It was a beautiful evening and the services quick, efficient, expert and friendly. The food was, as always, spot on and we all mixed our orders from the set menu and the specials. The accompanying wine was excellent. For almost any occasion,I cannot think a better place in Belfast.

"Great food and service and a nice atmosphere"
I recently tried Deane's at Queens for the first time. We were part of a large group (14) in for lunch. The menu is really good, with something for everyone and moderately priced for the area. The staff were very attentive. The food is clearly freshly prepared and all in season. The atmosphere is lovely and the leafy suburb setting is very relaxing and tranquil. I will definitely be back when the weather warms up to enjoy a late lunch on their terrace!

"Excellent food, staff and setting"
We visited Deanes at Queens as a party of 6 for a Saturday night out with some relatives. Brilliant experience from the minute we arrived. We where guided to the bar as the table was being prepared, we had a selection of cocktails and beers as we waited, the staff where very friendly and accommodating. Our table was then ready for us to sit, we all ordered from and extensive list of starters and mains, in particular I went for the chicken liver for starter and the Lamb for main. Incredibly soft lamb with mash, delicious. A really good selection of wines but like most restaurants the wine is expensive.
Everyone really enjoyed their food and atmosphere, we will definitely be back.
Keep up the good work.

"It was that good, we went back again!"
I was attending a 5 day conference at Queen's uni and Deanes was right around the corner. Although a little expensive for me, we actually came back twice because it was worth it. The bread selection with oils was particularly delicious.

The 2nd time we went I was told a vegetarian menu exists as well - and with most dishes being about half the price of meat dishes this was excellent. The black truffle risotto was beautiful. Probably the best risotto I've ever had.

"Excellent"
I recently visited this restaurant with my young family and mother for a late lunch. From start to finish the food and service was top class. The waiting staff were very pleasant and the food was to an extremely high standard. The menu had so many lovely choices that we can't wait to come back and sample some of the other delights.
