Property Overview

Richard McCracken quietly opened the doors of Cyprus Avenue in December 2016 after renovations to a once derelict building nestled amongst the tree-lined streets of Ballyhackamore village. Within a year it was clear the premises were no longer suitable for demand and Cyprus Avenue expanded into the adjoining building.

Open 7 days a week from 9 am till late Cyprus Avenue is a venue for all occasions. Spilling out on the Upper Newtownards Road with a fully covered heated terrace it makes for the perfect destination whether you're in the mood for 3 courses or a morning coffee whilst people watching. The menu is dictated by the seasons and portraits of the local suppliers who furnish the restaurant with their produce adorn the walls. The food is very much eclectic, drawing on the travels and influences of the staff allowing for a constantly evolving varied menu with something to please everyone. Cyprus Avenue remains family-run and fiercely proud of its humble beginnings, honoured to serve East Belfast.

Thanks to Cyprus Avenue for looking after us so well when we celebrated with mum on her 92nd birthday. Staff were very attentive and courteous from start to finish and even greeted us with a surprise round of bubbly on the house. Food was lovely. Their parting words were “See you next year for your 93rd” :)

We visited here for the first time last night and loved our experience! Great choice of vegetarian food which is rare for me (I ended up choosing the califlower steak which had the best onion rings I've ever eaten) and our server Charlotte was attentive and friendly which is greatly appreciated for a time when hospitality is on its knees. Would highly recommend to anyone and we'll be back soon, thank you!

My partner and I booked into Cyprus Avenue for a Friday night treat. We'd never been before and had heard so many good things and we definitely weren't disappointed. We had such a lovely night, the weather was great, I loved the 80s tunes being played, the food and drink was fab and the service was outstanding. Our waitress was so friendly and polite and we were shocked to hear it was her first ever shift be a she was so efficient and friendly and even offered to take a photo of us. We will definitely be back :)

My daughter Joanne had her wedding here on Thursday and the entire experience was incredible. The staff were outstanding the food was incredible and the way they totally went out of their way to make their wedding day perfect was just brilliant. I would highly recommend this venue for an intimate and 5 star wedding.

We had such a good meal at CA. The menu is perfect, varied while not being too large or overwhelming. They also have a great drinks selection and very friendly and attentive staff. I had a teriyaki pigeon (sounds odd doesn't it!) starter, my husband ordered the pork dumplings and we split them. They were both amazing. We then had the beef wellington for main - it was excellent. The outdoor area was perfect for these post lockdown times, but we will definitely be back when indoor dining resumes too.

Had a great day out with friends here, food was all delicious and really well present.

Couldn’t fault the service, special shout out to Val who was a good laugh and managed to get us a table outside in the sun.

Would certainly recommend and will be returning again soon!
