My review will end up in a vast mountain of well earned 5 star reviews here. Had the most perfect meal! The service team were so friendly, helpful and where so knowledgeable about each dish. I was so impressed!

Second time eating here and I have to say the food just keeps getting better. Couldn't fault the food or the service. Top quality restaurant and will definitely be back for a 3rd time, eventually

"A real treat"
We have been to Kilkenny a number of times in the last few years and had not come across Campagne before. That was sorted by an internet search. Situated away from the main town centre this is a real treat.

Entering a large open plan dining room the greeting is professional but warm. The seating is comfortable and service attentive. Not sure of what wine we were looking for we were offered tastings of a number of options. The early bird and a la carte menus are short with an emphasis on game.We could select from either or mix and match. The pricing of mixing is a little convoluted as the dishes on the a la carte are not individually priced. That aside the food is positively wonderful (try the fois gras). Our dishes were nicely presented in an unhurried way.

The taste and quality of the food is what makes Campagne worth the visit. It can be a little pricey but such dining to the standard they have achieved makes it worthwhile

"Top Class"
Top Class. First time in Campagne, restaurant well laid out. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful about food they were serving. An absolute asset to the restaurant, look after them. The food and the combination of tastes was only fantastic. Started with a gin and prosecco both of us felt the combination didn't work. We like our bubbles !!!

We started with the scallops with a bean cassoulet, which would have been tasty without the scallops, felt the scallops were overpowered a little. Partner had a mushroom tartlet with a poached egg on top, this tasted great, but pastry was wet and not what we expected. We had venison and monkfish for mains absolutely delicious. But to paraphrase the song, Let's Talk about Veg Baby... the vegetables were fantastic the cauliflower cut beautifully into small florets with grated pecorino, the roasted parsnip we think with cumin, the new potatoes perfectly boiled.

Dessert a black currant vacherin which led to a great discussion about what was a Vacherin, a creamed cows cheese from France No ! but turned out to be a filled very circular meringue, with fabulous blackcurrants and a candied peel. Partner had cheese plate with quince, and limp crackers which didn't do anything for the cheese plate. A very respectable priced Corbieres washed down this food lovers delight. Can't wait till we visit again. Well Done and thanks for the wonderful evening.

"Still the best in Ireland, bar none. Nowhere"
Still the best in Ireland. Exceptional food. Always clean plates! Kilkenny folks are lucky, nowhere like it in Dublin. None of the so called Michelin restaurants in Dublin come near.

"Always excellent"
On our yearly visits to Kilkenny, dinner at Campagne is always a highlight. Yet again this July a delicious and imaginative menu (six of us). Staff unfailingly polite and efficient. Elegant decor and very comfortable seating. Not noisy! This is a class act.

One of the best in Ireland!
It has become a routine trip for us to drive to Kilkenny and dine in Campagne. The restaurant and the art inside are superb. We started with glasses of champagne and moved to white wine, well priced at €40 mark. I had the lobster royale for starters and venison for main course. I cant remember the rest of the dishes but our party of 5 were all delighted. The food here is exploding with flavours. Make sure to try their divine cheesy cauliflower. Overall Campagne is a gem restaurant that makes a 2 county journey worth driving to.
