Fantastic place to stay. We enjoyed the beautiful views and lovely farm house feel. We walked down to the lake and we’re so impressed with property. Our rooms were so comfortable and we enjoyed the comfort so much I want to go back. Much better than any hotel.

"Beautiful!"
Abhainn Ri is stunningly located on one of the Blessington lakes. Historical farm and amazing views. Well cared for, comfortable and excellent food! The family is friendly and helpful. Room was perfect. Slept well. Hot showers.

"Beautiful location, warm, comfortable, well-equipped cottage"
Our trip was very last-minute, and we felt very lucky to find such a lovely place to stay. It was extremely quiet and the views were wonderful. We loved the walk across the fields to the lake, and were only sorry there was no pub close enough to walk to. A car is essential, and the narrow roads are quite challenging. We had the wheelchair-accessible cottage, which meant an absence of rugs, giving the sitting room a slightly spartan air, which was a pity as the wood burning stove was a lovely touch. There was well-designed en-suite wet-room on the ground floor, but with a rather feeble shower. Luckily there’s a bath upstairs. WiFi was also feeble, but maybe that’s not a bad thing. We were impressed that things like dishwasher tablets were supplied and that there were plenty of decent-sized mugs!

"A Piece of Irish Heaven"
Wonderful to be back. Coming back for a fourth visit says it all. This has to be one of the most beautiful places in an Ireland full of beautiful places. Staying here is central to so many sites, whether Dublin with its hustle and bustle, or the gardens of Powerscourt and Mt. Usher. Trips over the Wicklow Mountains bring you to Glendalough and Ireland's Ancient East. Niamh and Joe have kept the self-catering cottages even as they have opened a 5 star B+B in the old farmhouse. We were fortunate enough to have one of their wonderful breakfasts while we were there. I really can’t say enough about the quality of Abhainn Ri. If you are looking for a place to stay in the Dublin area, away from noise and business, this is the place

Great family holiday with 2 boys aged 13 & 10
Spent a week in one of the self-catering cottages. Great location as a base to explore the area. Accommodation had all the necessary facilities including a well equipped kitchen. Niamh and Joe go out of their way to make you feel welcome and a trip to the B & B for breakfast is a treat well worth partaking of. Views are amazing, lovely and peaceful. Boys enjoyed feeding the chickens and the walks on the farm are great they even provide wellies if you forget. Would highly recommend.
