"Magical few days"
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in August for our wedding anniversary - we wanted to stay somewhere special and we really got that here - a truly wonderful few days! The hotel, the grounds, the views, the location etc were all spectacular. The food (dinners and breakfasts) was amazing - we are in Fisherman's the 1st night and Owenmore the 2nd. The staff were also fantastic - so friendly and helpful. In particular I want to call out one member - Killian - he went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend Ballynahinch and we will definitely be back!!

"Spectacular on every level!"
I am sitting in my room writing this review because I have been blown away by our experience here. We arrived down on Friday and from the moment we got here it felt like a home away from home albeit a stunningly luxurious home! Where nothing is too much trouble. Staff are so friendly and everyone is clearly so proud to work here! I think that says it all! We ended up chatting to the general manager at one point and I noticed throughout the weekend he was clearing tables, doing everything not standing around, again a sign of the calibre of staff here. Given the current restrictions in place we were curious to see how it would unfold, we never felt at any point that it changed the experience. There were sanitation stations everywhere, staff wore masks but it did not hide their enthusiasm or pride.
The other things to mention are the food, where possible locally sourced and really thought about. Every bite was delicious. Their home made orange juice is to die for. To end we have to speak about the view, we came here before and the weather was fine, it was still breathtaking - this weekend there are no words so I will post a pic, I think it sums it up. It was our first wedding anniversary and I hope we have started a tradition!

We booked a two night break to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Not disappointed! Comfortable, clean, good food, pleasant welcoming staff who couldn’t do enough for us and stunning scenery. It is a remote quiet location which suits us. Owenmore restaurant was excellent. Very relaxing ‘get away from it all’ break.

Amazing hotel, exquisite location - full of olde worlde atmosphere.
We just spent one night (which as much to short needless to say), but we had a wonderful experience and enjoyed every moment. The hospitality and friendliness shown to us by all the staff was so natural and caring. Our room which overlooked the river was incredibly beautiful. A lovely welcoming card with chocolates greeted us when we arrived as it was our 30th wedding anniversary. I could barely sleep with the excitement. We dined in the bar where the food also was delicious having had a great walk in the gardens earlier. This place is just pure magic and is my now go to place in the future as we only live 90 minutes away. Will not probably stay over night but will certainly enjoy the amazing walks, tranquility and beauty of the place and will for sure call in for the wonderful seafood chowder. An autumnal visit to see the gardens in the displays of colour in October with my daughter is a must. So many thanks again.
