The Well By The Sea: Waterford

A 15m indoor infinity-edge swimming pool is The Well’s centerpiece. The floor-to-ceiling windows and ocean views create a sense of unending space, as if the pool is merging into the Irish Sea. Outside, we have a natural outdoor rock pool which can be enjoyed at full tide, for those who want a bracing swim. We also have an outdoor heated Jacuzzi and relaxation terrace with two stone baths, allowing you to benefit from the refreshing sea air in comfort.

Inside our spa, the sauna, steam room and four treatment rooms – including a couple’s treatment room – offer serene luxury in a light, peaceful space. Our small but fully-equipped fitness room, complete with cross trainer, running machine and exercise bike, is an ideal space to work out and re-energize.

A well needed escape to a stunning location and a hotel that quietly and cleverly nestles on the shore discretely, taking full advantage of the aspect as everything is focused on the view. Restaurant, rooms, spa and pool all face out onto the sea and all you have to do is relax and take it all in

We had a wonderfully relaxing mini honeymoon at Cliff this June. The hotel and staff are superb. The views are second to none. I had an amazing massage in the spa. Wonderful place, thank you for a gorgeous stay!

"Luxurious in every way"
We spent a most wonderful 24 hours here recently. Cliff House Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Check in was welcoming and efficient. Our suite was beautiful and extremely spacious. Our spa treatments were pampering and dinner was enhanced by the most wonderful wines chosen by the delightful sommelier. We were so sorry to have to leave and are already planning our return visit.

"Girls trip, cottage with a view"
I recently stayed in the Cliff House Cottage with 6 other ladies for a weekend break. The house was simply amazing from start to finish, over looking the Cliff House Hotel the views are something else. The beds are so comfortable, large master bedroom with ensuite just off spacious kitchen. Two smaller twin rooms down the hallway and one room with bunk beds (and a cot). Also paid a trip to the spa and would highly recommend the Out to Sea treatment.

"Wonderful!"
The most wonderful experience from the time you pull up to the hotel until the time you leave. Amazing, the staff are the most lovely people and couldn't be more helpful. The spa and the treatments are amazing with stunning views in the pool!

"Wonderful Break - Love this place!"
We had a wonderful 2 days at the cliff house – the weather was stunning which made the view and a dip in the sea even better.
We did have one unfortunate occurrence in the bar restaurant where they lost our order and we waited 2 hours for food. Which was disappointing, the manager was very apologetic and resolved the issue as soon as it came to her attention. It did not dampen our spirits;
The rooms are small but lovely, the beds a hugely comfortable, the bathroom is stylish with a rain shower and free standing tub and we had a balcony overlooking the bay.
I would recommend the spa treatments, I had a massage one day and a facial the next, both were relaxing and rejuvenating. The surroundings are calming and tranquil.
There are three highlights as a take away for me from our first visit 1:the ability to swim off the cliff and then jump in a hot tub was amazing 2: the Michelin star restaurant where the food is out of this world, what an experience and 3: The staff – they are extremely friendly and helpful in all aspects and a credit to the hotel.
We really needed a quiet, luxurious break to relax and recharge – the cliff house is a perfect spot, we will definitely return in the future.

"Sublime"
Cliff house hotel stands out from most hotels. From the minute you arrive you get the sense of nothing is too much trouble from the staff. With a minimum amount of fuss we were brought to our room and what a room the view from the balcony was breath taking and one of the most important features in any bedroom a comfortable bed .

Service and food are what this hotel is all about, and from the bar to the restaurant all the food and service were of an exceptional standard.

My wife had some spa treatments and again the ethos on service and quality were just the same.

This hotel was well worth the drive from Belfast and very difficult to fault.
