Guests are welcome to relax in the tranquil, horticultural ‘treasure trove’ gardens. We regret that extensive ornamental ponds make Sandhill unsuitable for children.
Sandhill House has been restored to a very high standard with decoration now in keeping with it's Georgian era. Beautiful wallpapers Louis XV style furniture and colour co-ordinated fabrics give a sumptuous but relaxing feel to the bedrooms.
Fresh flowers from the extensive gardens and a hospitality tray welcome you. Crisp white satin striped linen fluffy white towels and underfloor heating in the en-suite bathrooms ensure your comfort and relaxation during your stay.
Guests are very welcome to relax in the large entrance hall and can also pick up wifi. In addition to the Breakfast Room there is a sun lounge with comfortable seating where guests can dip into the library of local information and also guide books ranging from local walks to wild flowers guides and OS maps which can be borrowed for days out exploring.
Guests are also very welcome to enjoy the beautifully planted gardens and sit in the formal garden to enjoy a quiet read or glass of wine.
Approached down the woodland carriage drive the grandeur of Sandhill House unfolds before you. The Tamar Orchard Barn is set in the 2 acre landscaped gardens.
It is very peaceful but the location offers excellent access to public transport including rail and bus.
There is a local shop and petrol station and at least one pub is within 10 minutes walking distance. Both Gunnislake and St Anne's Chapel have post offices.
