“More than just a B& B.....” Such a fab place to stay, and really it's much more than a B&B. The very gracious McSweeney family welcomed us so warmly into their home & pulled out all the stops to make sure we enjoyed our Co. Clare/Burren experience. The accommodation is wonderful, it's warm & welcoming, and decorated very tastefully. Lovely personal touches in our rooms like real milk in the mini fridge for our tea, home made cookies, good quality coffee & cafetières. Very comfy beds, beautiful bed linen & fluffy towels. Sprigs of fresh rosemary on our bathroom towels! Breakfasts were simply delicious - probably the nicest I've every tasted. Homemade sourdough, banana bread, brown bread etc with delicious preserves & cheeses. The hot food was abs delightful - do try their vegetarian (& I'm not a vegetarian) but it'll be difficult to chose cause everything is just so good. Thanks so much for our wonderful stay & we will be back! Continued success, you certainly deserves it!

“A Great B&B!” Our family of 5 was warmly greeted by our hosts, Geraldine and Victor, after arriving very late due to some car trouble. They escorted us to our 2 rooms, which were by far the most comfortable/best appointed rooms during our 2 weeks in Ireland. The next morning when i inquired about where we could get laundry done in town, Victor offered his industrial washer and ended up doing our laundry while we were out that day! Their daughter prepared breakfast each morning, with delicious options ranging from the more "traditional" Irish breakfast to a scrumptious vegetarian plate including delicious sweet potato hash and a great selection of home-made breads. Their B&B is located just outside of the cute town of Ballyvaughan, and is right on the wooded portion of the Burren Trail. If you're visiting this area of Ireland, this is a great home base.

“Beautiful and Welcoming” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 1 week ago My wife and I spent 4 days at Hazelwood in the Burren area of County Clare (August 2016). Spacious and lovely room. Excellent food. Gracious hosts -- Geraldine and Victor McSweeney -- could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Our 5th trip to Ireland. Best place we have stayed.
