Crug-Glas luxury country house is a mixed working farm of approximately 600 acres. We have dairy cows, beef and cereals and we consider ourselves to be a traditional family farm working alongside nature.
We are about a mile inland from the coast and being so far west, situated on the end of St. Davids Peninsula, the sunsets in the evening are stunning. The sun going down behind Penberi rocks is absolutely breathtaking and has inspired many local artists.
Crug-Glas has a great amount of history attached to it, in the 12th century the farm is mentioned in the Black Book of St. Davids. This book is an accurate account of many of the farms, manors and estates in the locality naming the owners and tenants of the time.
Crug-Glas is reputed to have been one of the many seats (residences) of the Bishop of St. Davids. The farm remained in the hands of the Church for many centuries and it was eventually sold in the early 1900s.
