I stayed at Blackwell House numerous times and will always return to the exceptionally warm welcome, superb food, and wine. I am so pleased I have found a place with superior customer service, international standards in the remoteness of Northern Ireland. Thank you Joyce and Steve!

Fantastic
Stayed there as was working in the area and wow. Work totally did us proud. The place is beautiful. Clean, the beds are so comfy. You could hear a pin drop at night if you were awake as again the beds are so nice. The breakfast was amazing. So much choice. The hostess cannot do more for you. If that silly B and B program where the people look under shower plug holes and ridiculous things like that went, they would be hard pressed to find a fault. Would stay on a break let alone with work.

"Perfect Setting, Location and Environment for a relaxing break"
Stayed for 1 night with my girlfriend. We arrived tired in the afternoon greeted by snoozing cat and dog in the main hall.
We were shown to our room which was immaculate. I'd mentioned in passing while booking that it was my girlfiends birthday and within 5 minutes of our arrival Joyce had wished her a happy birthday and given us a complimentary bottle of persecco.
She also booked us a table at the Pot Belly (which is nice if a little pricey). We didn't have to think of a single thing while here.
Joyce and her husband seem to have such an ambition and drive for this place. Very interested to see how the new development turns out.
The environment they have created here is something you can't just buy.
The thought and detail put into each room is beyond impressive.
The breakfast was as good as I've ever had.
Couldn't recommend highly enough.

"Lovely Family visit"
My three daughters, my husband and I had a lovely weekend in Blackwell. Joyce’s cooking is superb and herself and Steve did everything to make my daughters feel at home. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable. Joyce and Steve are great ambassadors for the local tourism. Highly recommended.

"Magnificent B&B experience"
First of all Joyce and her husband are such a nice people and we had such a warm welcome that we knew straight away the stay is going to be great. Joyce's husband went through the dinner menu with us and his recommendations were spot on. We had some beef dish that cooked for 5 or 6 hours, needles to say it was delicious. The room had every little thing you could possibly need on a stay like this, they really thought of everything. For the breakfast we had the Ulster fry and it was the most delicious Irish breakfast since we came to Ireland two years ago. Home made banana bread and cranberry jam came as icing on the cake and we even wanted to buy a jar of jam but unfortunately they don't sell (one more reason to come back). To sum up, these people and the house and the surroundings will make you feel like a king and I can't recommend them enough. Truly a five star experience.
