"One of the reliable greats"
Visited Ahernes last week with a work colleague, I had recommended it and it didn't disappoint. I had one of my favorite dishes in a really good seafood restaurant, the sea food chowder and my colleague had a smoked salmon salad of some description. Both excellent, service attentive and speedy, I had fish cakes as a main and that too was really tasty.
I have eaten here probably a dozen times, never got a bad one! On this occasion my colleague stayed there and said the breakfast was good and they insisted on putting it on early as he was leaving early, couldnt have done more, he was impressed.

"Everything you could wish for, in a visit to Ireland"
Ahernes was booked on a suggestion from a 20 year old visit Ireland’s Gardens book. It could not have been more perfect. The location, the food, the room, the church, the sea and short distance to Cork airport. All this and perfect hosts. Fresh baked brown bread to bring home as a memento. First class.

"Amazing food and hospitality"
We’ve just spent a fabulous weekend at Aherne’s. We were welcomed in without even being asked our names, they knew who we were and showed us straight to our room which made us feel right at home. The rooms are comfortable and large, with everything you need. There’s a lovely sitting room downstairs with a roaring fire that you never want to leave. The food in both the bar and restaurant is exceptional, and the eight course tasting menu is a real treat. However the real highlight were the staff, who couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful and really made it special. We’ll be back.

"Perfect!"
We recently had a 2 night stay in Ahernes. Johnny, Kate, Paula and Anne made us feel so welcome - super friendly and efficient. A true home away from home! The room was large and very comfortable. The tasting menu was outstanding and was served with a great selection of wine. Breakfast is very fresh - down to the cooked breakfast, bread, fruit salad and freshly squeezed orange juice. It was a memorable stay and we hope to be back for another lovely visit soon.

"Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and incredible food"
We did a one night B&B with evening meal on Paddy's Day. Couldn't have been nicer, nice pint of Guinness and seafood chowder for us both on arrival, lovely room, a suite actually, and a fantastic meal that evening, mussels and the fillet steak for me, calamari and fillet steak for her. All cooked to order and perfection, served with beautiful croquet potato balls and mixed veg. Breakfast, with open fire and plenty of newspapers on Sunday morning completed the stay perfectly. Highly recommend.
