"Perfect wedding weekend"
Just spent a wonderful three days in Edinburgh for our son's wedding to Amy. Balmoral was a superb venue - great reception, great food and friendly helpful staff. Our room had a view to die for and the grandchildren had many surprise treats in their room. They even made sure the sun shone the whole weekend!

"A Memorable stay"
Travelled from London up to Edinburgh for a wedding and stayed for two nights at this stunning hotel. A beautiful building in a beautiful city.
From the moment we arrived the welcome and the service from all the staff was perfect.
The room was lovely too with everything needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
There was an extensive choice of food for breakfast...everything you could want to set you up for the day and nothing was too much trouble for the very attentive, friendly and helpful staff.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

"Our wedding Sat 18th March 2017 - Sir Walter Scott Suite"
Well where do we start. From the start of choosing our wedding venue we have had exceptional service from Katie Balmer the wedding coordinator for The Balmoral Hotel and boy did the hotel and staff follow through on every promise and every detail. Well worth every single penny (and there were a lot of pennies spent!!)
Phenomenal venue, staff, food, Bob the Toastmaster. The concierge for our guests. Literally cannot fault or criticise one part and neither could our guests who have said it is by far the best wedding they have ever attended.
Huge thanks for Katie Balmer. We looked at many venues all over the UK and were so thankful we chose The Balmoral. Happy to be contacted for a testimonial.
We will be back to stay at the hotel as guests as it truly is 5* on every level. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished suites and it was stunning. I'm extremely particular so cannot believe I had nothing to pick at!! :-)

"Wedding Weekend November 2016"
After a year or so of planning we had our wedding at the Balmoral in November 2016. We viewed several venues but as soon as we had been shown around the Balmoral we knew we wanted to get married there. We had our ceremony in the Esk Suite which was just beautiful, the views of the castle are fantastic! Everything went without a hitch from arriving at the hotel with all of our luggage and wedding stuff the day before to leaving in one of the hotels cars for our honeymoon the day after. The wedding planner Katie Balmer was an absolute pleasure to plan with, we live in Birmingham so most of the planning was carried out by email but every enquiry we made in the run up to the wedding was responded to in a matter of a day or two and handled with such care that we really felt valued. Nothing was too much for Katie, she really went the extra mile and reduced the risk of any stress immediately. We visited the hotel for afternoon tea in Palm Court a few months before which was exceptional and really made us so excited for the wedding. We had some friends and family staying in the hotel for the wedding who all had a pleasurable experience, with some using the restaurants and bars, some using room service and some even using the gym. We didn't hear a single complaint from any of them, only compliments. Overall, we simply cannot recommend this hotel and Edinburgh enough. We hope to return for our 1st anniversary and many times in the future!
