"25th Wedding Anniversary treat at Ashford Castle"
An Excellent experience in the castle. Amazing service provided by each member of staff from start to finish and in all areas of the castle. The food was so delicious in all areas. Music entertainment amazing. The grounds were spectacular and in great condition, had lovely walks.
We felt very safe in the castle and the attention to detail on sanitation with regard to your safety due to Covid 19 was outstanding. Room was out of this world.
Our two night was not enough. Came away very relaxed and wanting to stay longer.
An experience to remember and you were made feel very special.

"Dream Minimoon"
My husband and I booked a three night stay in Ashford Castle as part of our minimoon. We had stayed in three other luxury hotels before we finished in Ashford Castle and it just blew the rest of them out of the water. It is luxury and decadence epitomised. Every need and request is anticipated and fulfilled with such hospitality and promptness you are never in need of anything. No request is too much. The spa is small and opulent and we had the most amazing B couple massage that left us so relaxed after the wedding. We had afternoon tea in the connaught room and had a champagne tasting the staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. The bar is the perfect balance of relaxed and luxury. We dined in both restaurants and found them both stunning.
An unforgettable experience

Perfect Place to Spend 10th Anniversary - George V Dining + Falconry both A++
My husband and I stayed here two nights, one of which was our 10th wedding anniversary, and it couldn't have been a better experience. Other reviewers have said that they make you feel like royalty here, and it is really true! Within the first 30 minutes of arriving we had been given a tour of the castle & our room, had our luggage delivered with an offer to hang up our clothes for us, had the concierge ring us to ensure everything was "to our satisfaction", and had surprise complimentary champagne delivered since we were celebrating our anniversary. The turn down service also left us a card and special pillow for our anniversary. Our room, the castle, and the grounds were all beautiful, the staff were all extremely polite and helpful, and the food was very good. We enjoyed afternoon tea and their ample breakfast buffet, but what stood out was our anniversary dinner at George V dining room; the food was delicious and the whole dinner was like a presentation with them "revealing" each dish to us; they even gave us a "Happy Anniversary" cake. Lastly, we did a Hawk Walk with the Ireland School of Falconry; Yoda and Wookie were our falcons and Connal was our guide, and it was an amazing and unique experience; I definitely recommend giving it a try.

I really hope we can go back for a longer stay sometime in the future, because 2 nights was not enough!

"There are not enough stars....LOVE this hotel"
Celebrating a wedding anniversary, mid week stay for 2 nights on “taste of Ireland” package.

Firstly the hotel- amazing castle. Attention to detail is meticulous. Rooms are beautiful. Have stayed in various rooms
and suites here over the years, I’ll always recommend upgrading(!) but the standard rooms are lovely.

Ashford for me is all about relaxing. The grounds have lovely walks & Cong (for those Quiet Man movie fans!) is a short walk away. Played the 9 hole golf course, green fees complimentary and was very enjoyable, despite the winter conditions. One morning we did a one hour forest walk with 2 Irish wolf hounds linked to the castle. It was superb- their owner was sharing lots of information and the dogs themselves are magnificent. Would highly recommend. Tennis courts, falconry, horse riding and Lough Corrib boat trip also available, but we didn’t do these.

There is also a spa in the hotel. We didn’t get any treatments, but used the relaxation areas/pool/steam room. All very nice, in particular the pool area.

Various options for food in the castle and grounds. We are in the Dungeon restaurant on the 1st evening, which was ok. The star dining experience was dinner in the George V restaurant - really excellent food, superb menu, great wine list, all in a beautiful dining room. Breakfast was amazing, tons of options. You could spend the day eating breakfast! Lunch also good. We did afternoon tea which was lovely, lots of food so be warned!

The thing that has brought us back to Ashford is the staff. Right from greeting at the front gate through to checkout, Ashford has an incredible team of people. Nothing is too much trouble. I cannot commend them highly enough, the Ashford team is an example of what customer service should be. The team at Ashford set themselves apart from other luxury hotels in Ireland. As I mentioned earlier, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we were treated to multiple celebratory touches throughout our stay.

Some may question the price to stay at Ashford. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it- absolutely, 100%. It is value for money- yes, without a doubt. It is 5 star from start to finish. Highly, highly recommend a visit.
