Holiday home
Ysgubor Isaf is a semi-detached cottage on a working livestock farm in the hamlet of Brongest near Newcastle Emlyn. The cottage has two ground floor double rooms, one with en-suite, a king-size double with en-suite on the first floor, and a twin room with en-suite, which can be offered as a fourth double on request. There is a family wet room on the ground floor. There is a well equipped kitchen, dining areaand a comfy sitting room. Outside is off road parking for two cars, a patio with furniture, and the opportunity to see the owners' prize-winning livestock by prior arrangement. Ysgubor Isaf offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy all the sights and sounds of a farm holiday but in luxury quality accommodation.

Area
The market town of Newcastle Emlyn offers an array of shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. There is a ruined castle and beautiful countryside close by, plus the Cardiganshire coastline is just 10 miles away. There are many attractions within driving distance, making Newcastle Emlyn an ideal base for a holiday in this part of Wales.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

This was a really lovely property that met the needs of my 89 year old mother with mobility issues and also two teenagers who had lots of TVs to occupy them.. It is spacious, luxurious, very well equipped and very easy to live in.
There was plenty of attention paid to the issues surrounding Covid and it feels very safe.
The hosts were attentive and eager to meet any extra needs we had.
There plenty of gorgeous beaches within easy drive.
I would thoroughly recommend this place.

The Evans family were welcoming and checked in on us throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.. Our stay was over christmas and it was a nice touch to have a xmas tree in our cottage as well as outside the property. Being on a farm it was nice to have a wander over to see the recently born calves and we were invited to have a tour around the farm but unfortunately time went so quickly we didn't manage it. Certainly a nice place to stay whatever the time of year :)

We had a wonderful holiday at Ysgubor Isaf and were made very welcome by the Evan's family with any problems promptly dealt with , they could not do enough for us and were very helpful and kind .. We had a tour of the farm with our infant twin grandsons which was really interesting . The property is beautiful and set in an idyllic location with lots of interesting places to visits and beautiful beaches nearby. We would recommend it any time.

This barn conversion was carried out to an extremely high standard and the facilities on the ground floor for my disabled sister were outstanding with a wet room capable of accommodating a wheel chair if necessary.. The hosts were very caring and friendly and available if any problems should arise.

On a general note I would appreciate it if Sykes would add a filter to their search engine which would allow request for disabled facilities to be filtered as this little gem took some finding and this has been the case with other properties we have hired through Sykes.

The cottage on a working farm is really lovely, with en-suite in every bedroom, and a ground floor wet room for disabled access, which assisted my disabled grandson who is a wheelchair user and my grand daughter who has mobility problems.. It is very clean and has a big kitchen, a utility cupboard with washing machine and dryer,TV's in all 4 bedrooms and lounge area and a table that seats 8 people. There's plenty of space for your clothes etc.

Teifi, (Mr Evans), was kind enough to take us and our 4 grandchildren to see their cows and calves. Apparently, they don't keep pigs any more.
The cottage is a good base to see sights, beach, Adventure etc. However, the weather was terrible for 3 days out of 7 days. We had to buy the children some indoor activities such as colouring books, puzzles, games and DVD's; it did state that there was games, CD's etc available and an enclosed patio, but there was none of these items, except for scrabble.
We enjoyed our holiday, and a huge thank you to the owners, Mr & Mrs T Evans-:)

Holiday was brilliant Teifi Christine and Rhys were exceptional hosts and were very helpful, friendly would definitely visit again.. Barn conversion was fabulous. We went for Moms 70th she thoroughly enjoyed it. Joe my disabled nephew was able to move around the cottage in his wheelchair without no stress and all facilities were amazing for his needs all in all what a brilliant holiday loved it.

We had a really lovely break and our hosts were warm, friendly and very welcoming.. The cottage is very well adapted for disabled. As a wheelchair user I would recommend this cottage highly. All in all, splendid! you can book a break here with complete peace of mind.

The property is fantastic.. No expense has been spared when converting it. The owners are lovely. The location is perfect. We had a disabled member of are party and he said that it met all his requirements and the wet room was one of the best designed he had seen. Thanks Charles

Had a wonderful time during our stay. The accommodation is very luxurious and feels very homely. The kids loved walking the dog (Ben) around the yard and Bella was lovely too. Enjoyed seeing the piglets and the tour of the farm and the owners were very welcoming.

Lots of places to visit locally and slightly further afield.

Looking forward to coming back. If not for the scenery, then for the pork (delicious!)

Checked in on a Friday with 4 friends to celebrate my birthday, and what a place. Being old farm buildings the walls are solid, thick and offer great sound proofing, not that we cared because I'd set up my disco and lights, but I bet our neighbours were pleased.

The owners were very accommodating and we even left with some huge chunks of their prize winning pigs.

Would we return ? Too right.

Further developing is taking place and when complete it looks like it's going to be amazing. The cottage we had could easily have an extra fence erected to accommodate an outside hot tub which would be fantastic as the light pollution is minimal giving you excellent views of the night sky.

There are the odd wafts of country smells but it is a working farm so it wasn't a problem as we were expecting it.

All in my party were happy with every aspect of the visit, so much so that they didn't want to leave, we could possibly be returning next year

The Wi-Fi availability was needed because our phone signal was so poor in the area it was the only way to make calls of any importance.. The owners were absolutely wonderful & there was never anything they wouldn't help or attempt to help us with & even solve a personal problems on our departure

The cottage was better than we had imagined.. It was very spacious and extremely well equipped. A llovely welcome from the owners who were always on hand if needed. One of our party is wheelchair dependant and the cottage was perfect for us all. it was classed as 5 star and it certainly was!
