Stayed here with friends earlier this year. Despite the bad weather, this was probably the best place we have ever stayed in. Lovely rural setting, fantastic scenery and very warm and relaxing atmosphere

My wife and I spent several very happy days in September at this absolutely beautiful home. Brook Cottage is spacious and thoughtfully decorated with Jeanne's lovely things and the property is every bit as wonderful---touching the senses with the sights and sounds of the river, the flowers, and the trees, as well as abundant birdsong. From here, we enjoyed exploring (and hiking at) Glendalough, as well as visiting Mount Usher Gardens and Avoca Woolen Mills. All are well worth your time.

This home is an absolute piece of heaven! If you love gardens, birds, nature in general....you will love this place. The grounds are stunning and you fall asleep at night to the sound of the river, which is very soothing. The home is warm, comforting and beautiful. My kids loved the tree houses and we all enjoyed trying to identify the many kinds of birds that are in the area.
We used the house as a home base to explore the Wicklow area and the location was perfect. We spent one day at the house just relaxing, napping, having tea and perusing Jeanne's books...what a perfect day!
John was a wonderful host and greeted us with fresh bread, wine and an apple tart....loved it all.
I would definitely visit this home again!

The photographs do not do it justice, it is so much more beautiful than you can imagine. From when you drive down the road and through the gates you enter another World. The house and gardens hug you and squeeze you and force you to relax. My husband has never been interested in birds and after the first day he was giving a running comantry of the birds visiting the feeding trays. The water is so calming and the grounds are so well looked after. The owner has put her heart and soul into this magical place and we felt so pleased that we could share her beautiful home. The warm welcome and the stunning house and gardens just make you want to stay for ever. We will surely be back.
