This is the second time I have stayed at Orchard Cottage. And it was as magical as the first. Leo is the quintessential host-always there if you need him, but never intrusive. The cottage is a 5-minute drive from Sligo town--yet it is down a beautiful country road where the scenery is magnificent. The cottage is equipped with everything you need. The bed linens are ironed, which makes for a wonderful night's sleep. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay in Sligo, you have found it.

If you're looking for a home from home with a real country feel - this is it! At the same time you're only a few minutes' drive away from Sligo.
Traditional cosy cottage with spacious bedroom and sitting cum dining room. Everything you could wish for to do your own cooking in the kitchen including fridge-freezer and dishwasher.
Leo, our landlord, supplied us with fresh fruit basket, some mild and fresh farm eggs and was always there to answer questions. He lives close by in case any issues arise. Very friendly and chatty!
Thanks for a lovely week!

I stayed her for a week, a wonderful cottage, well equipped with everything you might need. It is situated in a quiet and beautiful area with great walks locally and very close to Sligo town and scenic spots. Leo the owner is a great host, and very knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend this cottage and location and looking forward to a return visit.

We were met by the owner at a convenient public spot and guided to the self catering cottage which was very well maintained and very convenient to all the local beauty spots and walks. The owner also furnished us with lots of local information after enquiring about our interests. There was a welcome pack which included a bowl of lovely fresh fruit, milk and biscuits with enough tea and coffee to get us started. We were left in complete privacy with contact numbers and information about heating, lighting etc. We felt very well catered for by an exceptionally lovely friendly person who we felt had our best interests at heart. Most enjoyable stay

A really lovely cottage, well equipped with everything you might need. There was a small welcome pack, milk, tea etc to get us started.
The linen and towels were of good quality and everything else about the cottage spoke of a well maintained property.
There is lots to do in the Sligo area and we particularly enjoyed the guided tour of Sligo starting from the Tourist Office. Rosses Point is a wonderful beach and Mullaghmore is also worth a visit. There are plenty of venues for those interested in traditional music. Lyons in Sligo do an excellent value lunch. A great week and thanks to Leo for the warm welcome.

This place was such a gem. Everything you would need in an idyllic secluded setting and just a 5 minute drive to Sligo Town and 10 min from Strandhill. Leo was also the perfect host. I would definitely come back here.

My husband and I discovered this gem about 4 years ago and have gone back there every year since. It is a cosy and warm cottage with everything you need. It is situated in a quiet and beautiful location, overlooking the Ox mountains and it is very close by Sligo town and amenities. The cottage comes with a beautiful Orchard garden, brimming with a range of birds and the occasional visits of neighbouring cats. The owners, Leo and Maura live nearby and they are the most lovely, welcoming and helpful people. Leo is a great conversationalist and we have had many fantastic and interesting conversations with him. Highly recommend this cottage and location.

My husband and I stayed at Orchard Cottage while I was researching my next mystery. It was the perfect location for touring the wild western way and the hosts couldn't have been more charming and helpful. The cottage is spotlessly clean and we were warmly welcomed with fresh fruit, sweet treats and organic eggs. If you dream of a stay in an idyllic Irish county cottage and enjoying your own peat fire after an evening of traditional music at one of the many pubs this is the ideal place for you. We would return again and again!

A gorgeous old cottage providing tranquility and comfort whilst being fully equipped and modern. It was possible to smell the flowers and bask in the sunny courtyard. A must do!
