Originally built in 1840 the house has been beautifully thatched and is lavishly furnished and modernised. The opulent reception and drawing rooms invite you to relax and view the setting sun by a roaring fire while sipping a glass of wine or brandy from our specially chosen wine list.

This property is the ultimate getaway/retreat, where guests can leave their troubles behind and bathe in the peace and tranquility, listening to the waves crashing off the cliffs.

"In a word Fabulous!"
In a word Fabulous! We used to visit this owner's restaurant in Puerto Del Carmen and now their restaurant back home in Clare has proven to be equally as good. Every mouthful was so tasty from bread opener so delicious desserts. Highly recommend this very comfortable and atmospheric restaurant. Looking forward already to going back. All staff super friendly which added to relaxing feel.

Our weekend in Spanish Point was made by having a booking in the red cliff lodge. Food was amazing from the mussels to the cod wrapped in bacon. Sea food was incredible and the service was on a special level. You felt cared for as soon you entered to the minute you left. Price was good for what was on offer. Will be back again and will recommend.

"Birthday weekend"
What a fabulous treat from the moment we arrived the lodge was amazing so clean spacious felt very safe , we had dinner booked ... Eimear king is the hostess with the mostest and as for chef Chris king served some mouthwatering culinary delights ... all tables spaced out facing opposite sides as yhr restaurant felt so airy and safe ... this duo and staff make you feel so welcome and can’t do enough for you ... we will be back and as for the scenery wow and everything on your doorstep

"Excellent"
We (2 adults + 11 year old) ate there in July 2020. The location is fantastic as it overlooks the Atlantic ocean, and the interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated. We had a super seat right by a window overlooking the ocean. Staff were very friendly and were very familiar with items on the menu. Although there wasn't a specific kids menu there were a number of items which our daughter could chose from on the main menu.

Food was delicious - surf & turf, fish & chips were both very good and the deserts were really impressive. The atmosphere was very relaxed and it didn't feel 'loud' at any time even though there were a number of other diners there.

All in all a very good restaurant at appropriate prices. We will definitely be back soon so well done to Eimear, Chris and all the team there.

"Fabulous"
My daughter and I had a wonderful evening At Red Cliff, a warm welcome from Eimear and Team, delicious food, beautiful surrounds and really helpful staff (thank you Cathy for yummy hot choc!) It was a delightful end to our stay in Clare and we look forward to coming back in September to stay With you in the fab suites.
