This luxury 5 star restored farm cottage is set amid landscaped gardens on 100 acres of organic farmland at the foot of the Majestic Mourne Mountains, within walking distance of Cranfield beach.

Fishing is available on White Water River and guests can also avail of the children's playground and many enchanting nature trails scattered around the farm. In the local area hiking, horse riding, cycling, sailing and golf can also be enjoyed.

Sand Cottage offers under floor heating powered by Geo Thermal and Geo Thermal heating systems, a spacious living room equipped with TV, DVD, music system and wood burning Dovre Stove, a fully equipped modern kitchen and dining area, two spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, each sleeping 2 adults and 1 child comfortably. A separate laundry room.

Outside there are beautifully landscaped gardens, a Garden shed containing garden furniture and barbecue facilities. Childrens Play Area. Bicycles available. (Guide Dogs Welcome)

“Blissfully quiet and stunning location”

Gorgeous bungalows in a stunning location. The only downside of leaving a 5* review is that more people will book when I want the place all to myself lol.

“Truly FIVE STAR self-catering ”

We spent a week in Sand Cottage with three generations of the family. The well-appointed cottage is better accommodation than we have at home. The fixtures are exceptional, underfloor heating welcoming after long soaks in the bath and the accessories so complete. We enjoyed the tranquil setting, the complementary bicycles and the very curious rabbit who expects carrots on a plate. Our five year old son claimed the bicycle shed as his own and that means we need to build one in Tipperary when we drive south. But we plan to return and next time light a roaring fire while watching leaves fall off the trees in the garden outside.

“A relaxing, peaceful escape..”

My husband and I stayed in Sand Cottage with our 17 month old daughter for four nights and we had an amazing time. The cottage was so modern and clean and had everything we needed. There was a travel cot made up in our room and a high chair was provided. We enjoyed using the bikes provided and our daughter went on the trike. There were even raincoats and an umbrella which thankfully we didn't need! We enjoyed going for walks and had a day at the beach (just a few minutes drive away). Our daughter loved watching the horses and cows in the nearby fields and we spotted the odd rabbit! Such a relaxing few days in the fresh air away from all hustle and bustle. Will definitely go back!
