Luxury Self Catering Cottage on Ireland's famous north coast


Heather Cottage is situated within easy walking distance to Portstewart's famous strand and promenade, Flowerfield Art's Centre and Tesco supermarket.

It is more than just a place to stay - with a five star N.I.T.B. classification it contains all the comforts of home including Sky TV and high speed WiFi.

By choosing to stay at Heather Cottage you are also on the doorstep to all the attractions and breathtaking scenery and beaches of The Famous Causeway Coast.

The layout will especially suit families, as the lounge, dining and kitchen are all combined in the one spacious area.

At the rear of the property there is a courtyard with flowerbeds and a log cabin complete with tables and chairs which serves as an extra dining area. A gas barbeque is also provided.

At Heather Cottage, guests can enjoy a truly relaxing luxurious holiday close to some of the most beautiful scenery on Ireland's famous north coast.

A few miles drive away is the World Heritage site The Giant's Causeway and close by Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, Dunluce Castle, Mussenden Temple and some very pretty fishing villages are all within easy driving distances.

For the active there are spectacular coastal, forest, and beach walks and for the golf enthusiast there are numerous courses including Portrush and Portstewart magnificent championship courses within a 10 mile radius. Portstewart golf club is only 1 mile away.

Horse riding, fishing, bowling, tennis and swimming facilities add to the local attractions. For the shopper Coleraine has a wide range of independent retailers and multiple stores. A very helpful Tourist Information is also situated there.

There are very many fine restaurants in the area, offering a wide choice of cuisine, their speciality being seafood dishes.

The perfect place to recharge your batteries!
Heather Cottage is set in a quiet cul-de-sac. The house itself is equipped with everything possible to make your stay comfortable. Ample seating area, a fully functional kitchen with every utensil you will need. Utility room with washing machine and tumble drier. Three great bedrooms, two bathrooms with your toiletries supplied. At the back of the house is a beautiful paved area planted out in an array of brightly coloured flowers. You are supplied with comfortable chairs and sun loungers to relax in this quiet space .Also a barbecue is available and afterwards you can turn on the fairy lights and enjoy the long summer evenings.There is also a summer house which opens up onto the paved area where you can sit and read or watch television if the weather is cooler. The outside space is also great for children as it is totally safe and there are even toys on site to keep them amused.... The house is within walking distance of Tesco. Also within walking distance is a very nice play park which was enjoyed by our grandchildren. A short drive takes you into Portstewart and down to the beautiful beach, Portstewart Strand,which is run by the National Trust. There are many other beaches and scenic places to visit in this area and Heather Cottage is an ideal base to enjoy this beautiful North Coast from. The only thing Vera could not supply was the weather, but nevertheless we were blessed with two beautiful weeks! We fully intend to return again this summer.

Don't hesitate, just book this
This is no ordinary holiday let - this is a proper holiday home that the owner has spent both time and money thinking about what holidaymakers want and need to have a perfect holiday. Included in the back garden is a summer house complete with a sofa, armchairs and a tv - just the job if members of your party wish to have a quiet moment alone, or just to enjoy sitting in the garden if the weather is not too good.

The bungalow is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac and is a 5 minute drive to the famous Strand beach at Portstewart.

Stayed at Heather cottage for a week from 07/04/2016. On arrival we already had items ready for a brew & biscuits which were much appreciated. The house was extremely clean and well equipped. There were 5 of us and the lounge had comfortable seating for all. The kitchen well stocked with pans & cutlery. It's in a very quiet cul de sac but close enough to nip to the shops. All in all a very comfortable stay !
