Stunning Irish Castle set on its own private island

Situated on the northern tip of Upper Lough Erne, Belle Isle is a 470-acre estate spread over eight picturesque islands. Inhabited since the 12th century, the estate today offers a wide range of attractive self-catering accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets.

This year, Belle Isle Estate was delighted to be a winner of a highly rated award from TripAdvisor 'Certificate of Excellence 2014'.

Self Catering Courtyard Cottages

A lovingly restored courtyard, originally built to house working animals in 1860, is now home to eight modern Cottages. This listed building, brimming with character, forms the perfect base for your relaxing short break.

Our intention was to conserve these historic buildings so we resolved to let the quirks of the form dictate the features of the resulting Cottages. Each one contains a different configuration of guest bedrooms and living space, decorated to a high standard with unique period furnishings and a wood-burning stove.

Having your own space on holiday allows you to do what you want without worry. Each Cottages has its own grassy outside area with BBQ available and a picnic table. Indoors you will find modern amenities and plenty of space to relax in.

Excellent all round. Lovely accommodation in the Courtyard cottages
Really lovely accommodation. Belle Isle is not far from Enniskillen or if you want to go to Ireland its really easy. the situation is absolutely wonderful and the staff were very good as well. Very helpful and keen to be of assistance.

Beautiful location
Stayed and ate here during a quick trip to the area. Stayed in one of the holidays lets in the courtyard complex. Fantastic accommodation, the log burning stove was a real treat. Food in the on site Bistro was great also served by very welcoming staff. All in all a great experience.

Wedding
We had our wedding at Belle Isle Castle, and we couldn’t be any happier! Great staff, delicious food and beautiful surroundings. The rooms in the castle is beautiful and clean. The coachhouse and courtyard apartments are also lovely.
Our weddingplanner at the Castle, Andrea was very helpful with everything both prior and during our weddingday.

Wonderful House and Cottages
Stayed here for a family event. The main house/castle is wonderful. Well maintained, with a great kitchen and several lovely reception rooms. The main dining room is beautiful. The bedrooms looked nice too although we did not stay in them. We stayed in one of the converted courtyard houses which was great. Very spacious and with great kitchen, TV and heating/hot water. The staff were all really helpful and happy to accommodate special requests like crib and highchair for the baby. I fully recommend both the castle and the courtyard cottages.
