Upon walking the halls of Ashford Castle you see photos of all of the famous celebrities who have stayed there, And it is truly a celebrity experience. Every inch of Ashford Castle is immaculate and utterly beautiful. There is so much to do that we will definitely come back to stay longer. Our room was gorgeous and I loved being able to play chess by the fire.

From booking to our departure the service was nothing but exemplary.
Ashford is known for being one of Ireland’s best properties. It is the staff that make your stay unforgettable- professional but personable . The small touch’s and attention to detail.
Food and beverage excellent - superb meal in the George on both evenings .
Thank you all at the castle for making my family feel very welcomed and looked after .

5 stars well deserved
I have had the ability to stay at Ashford Castle both times I’ve have been in Ireland, and both times they have provided 5 star hospitality and service. It’s not just about how they tend to you, but the down to earth touch they apply with their impeccable attendance.

Let’s start with the room. Every detail has been thought of. From the convenience of touch pad lighting. To the comfort of radiant heated floors in the bathrooms, all measures have been applied.

Food was probably the best I had while in Ireland along with a fantastic Negroni.

The spa is gorgeous. Even if you go to just use the pool it’s worth the visual experience alone.

Falconry, one of my all time favorite activities. These hawks will make your day with their beauty and the knowledge of the falconers. A must in my opinion.

"Sheer unadulterated Iuxury - Irish hospitality at its finest!"
I booked Ashford Castle for my 50th Birthday celebrations and stayed there with my husband and two teenage children. To be greeted by name when we pulled up at the main door (introduced by the guard on arrival at the first gate) was a lovely touch and really did set the scene for the most amazing customer service throughout our stay. There really is so much I could say about the Castle but I'm mindful that I need to get across the numerous elements we enjoyed before anyone reading this gets bored!
Eleanor & Breege must be the first people mentioned. Eleanor greeted us on both days at breakfast in the George V restaurant and her sister Breege looked after us during breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel like royalty. I even had a mini Birthday cake presented! I think Eleanor and Breege are an absolute asset to the Castle and their customer service is exceptional! We even got a lovely hug from Eleanor on our last day. Such warmth is quite rare. Thank you both. Robert the restaurant Manager was also so friendly and attentive.
We met the famous Castle Irish wolfhounds after breakfast - they are huge. Dog lovers can even go on a walk with them every morning around the grounds.
We went clay pigeon shooting - Ricky was a fantastic coach, explaining everything so carefully. Nothing was too much trouble. The zip wire adventure led by Mark was thrilling - he too was extremely patient when I was nervous and nearly bottled out - both young men are stars and I'm sure the Management are well aware of their worth.
Dinner in the Dungeon was fab, as was lunch in Stanleys. We loved the Prince of Wales Bar, with its cosy fire and charm (cocktails were yum too!). We enjoyed a lovely cup of tea in Mrs Teas and dinner at Cullen's Cottage was superb (great fish restaurant)
The trip across Lake Corrib on the Innisfree boat gave us a great opportunity to experience the magical scenery of the Connamara Hills and of course a view of the magnificent Castle from the Lake. It's a family run business and the Captain with his brother were so informative and amusing.
We went into Cong several times - a gorgeous quaint village where we did The Quiet Man walking tour. As a fan, this was the icing on the cake for our stay.
I can honestly say, Ashford castle met and exceeded all my expectations. I have the most treasured memories of a most amazing 50th Birthday celebration. I'm so grateful and thank you all.

Awesome!
Ashford Castle has friendly and gracious staff, delicious food, fun activities, and beautiful grounds. The bedrooms and public spaces are wonderful. It’s an easy place to be casual and relaxed, and it provides lots of opportunities for all ages. The Falconry School is unique and impressive, but we also loved the movie theater!

Awesome!
We stayed 2 nights at Ashford Castle and felt very welcome and pampered from the moment we drove through the gate! Extremely friendly staff including gatekeepers, concierge, check-In, servers and bartenders! Everyone was very down to earth and helpful.

Our room was gorgeous and the bath had heated floors and a wonderful soaking tub. Breakfast was wonderful with cooked to order options as well as a terrific buffet with a plethora of choices.

Dinner in the George V was excellent and the service was fabulous.

Although we did not partake in any of the many activity options offered we enjoyed our time riding bikes around the grounds and into the nearby town of Cong, enjoying the morning hike with the resident Irish Wolf Hounds (a must do!) and walking the gardens and paths around the castle!

Fabulous stay!

"No words to describe how amazing this castle is"
There are absolutely no words to describe how amazing my husband and my experience was for just ONE night in Ashford Castle, but I'll try so they can have another raving review. Luckily we came early in the day, stayed the night, and the next day left in late afternoon, so we fit a lot in. We booked this castle but had no idea what we were getting into. THEY TREAT YOU LIKE ROYALTY. I've never felt so taken care of by a hotel / resort staff in my life. The grounds are breathtaking, they have super fun activities from horseback riding, to falconry, to golf, and their food is outstanding.

One of the highlights of my WHOLE honeymoon was their tea time. They had a wide choice of teas and treats to go with it. We had been traveling nonstop around a whole lot during our trip to Ireland, but I'll never forget how peaceful and pleasant our tea time at the castle was. If you need a slice of peace during your vacation, I recommend this.

If you have an opportunity to stay even just one night in this castle, DO IT. It's hard to put into words just how incredible this experience was. Thank you Ashford Castle staff for making our honeymoon truly magical!

Naomi and I have a fab 2-night break at Ashford Castle. This is undoubtedly one of the finest venues in Europe complete with friendly and professional service fine dining and first-class amenities. We watched the Irelan v. England rugby game in the lavish cinema and enjoyed room service round the clock - can't wait to return - If you really want a luxury experience it would be hard to beat!
