Lovely dining experience, food excellent, service very good, we enjoyed all three course of our meal in a relaxed comfortable atmosphere.

We dined in West in late July and had the taster menu with wine pairings. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was top notch as were the wines. It really is like art on a plate. I don't usually like oysters or lamb but had both as part of the menu and loved them which is a testament to the standard of food we received. If you are into food I would highly recommend trying out West Restaurant. It is such a treat. We can't wait to return.

Best restaurant I've been to.
Starters were amazing - tasted the ravioli, rabbit and the mussles. The main course had to be Cote De Bouef. Sensational. However, my partner thought it was a bit fatty but the taste was great - didn't think the dessert lived up to the high standards of the prior courses. Wine was beautiful & would definitely recommend getting the sommeliers recommendations.
Breakfast was great. Had a rabbit dish& a duck dish. Fantastic

I had the pleasure of dining in West last month. If you have any hesitation about dining here because it is a 'hotel restaurant', think again - it's in a league of it's own. The experience from start to finish made for a really special evening.

Lovely decor and ambiance - very relaxing and beautifully lit. Extremely professional service from Fergal and Peter - so well-timed, extremely attentive, helpful menu advice and perfect wine-pairings. Very impressed.

The food! The menu descriptors cannot prepare you for the taste. I had the langoustine starter and venison main - amazing depth of flavour, both beautifully balanced and cooked to perfection. There's a real element of fun in the presentation of the food and a couple of surprises throughout the meal which add novelty and a modern twist. Especially loved the salt and vinegar seaweed crisps and the roasting marshmallows - both made me so nostalgic, such fun. The novelty doesn't compromise the food whatsoever. Martin and the team know what they're doing - everything on the plate belongs on the plate.. and the plates were licked clean.

Barna might be a little out of town but it is absolutely worth getting a taxi out to enjoy an extended evening. I'm planning to return for the tasting menu next time followed by a cocktail in the funky bar downstairs.

"Delicious meal"
My husband and I recently dined in West. We opted for the tasting menu and it was wonderful. Each course was presented and tasted beautifully. All the ingredients are local. We didn’t opt for the wine pairing but the sommelier suggested a red and a white that would work with menu and it certainly did. I love that the sommeliers are floating the room and available to answer any wine queries. I would definitely recommend the tasting menu, the element of surprise is great!

Different choices for breakfast as well as old favs... service superb. Relaxed food delicious and plentiful... felt spoilt here as with the total Twelve package, thank you to all. Highly recommended

Food is consistently amazing - it is so different and unusual , best idea is to trust the chef and have the tasting menu - stunning!! The whole atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and it is a delightful experience.
