The Saddle Room

This serene hotel restaurant serves a classy and opulent feel from the get-go. It is named after The Shelbourne Hotel's historic dining rooms and is an old favourite reinvented as a Dublin steakhouse and seafood restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Offering a contemporary menu using only the finest Irish ingredients, The Saddle Room also features an Oyster Bar, offering the freshest oysters from Ireland shores including Carlingford, Lambay & Galway Natives.

The Saddle Room Restaurant has two private dining rooms, available for private hire for lunch or dinner, both with their own unique style and decor. The Martyn Turner Room presents original prints from the acclaimed Irish Times cartoonist, and The Trophy Room features original jockey silks from the 1950s making both the perfect place to celebrate any occasion. Here, memorable nights and perfect get-togethers seem to come naturally. "Classy"
We wanted to book somewhere special for a family graduation, and the Saddleroom was just that. Service excellent, lovely food, and great bottle of wine—and all worth the price.

"Excellent, excellent, excellent!"

Well to say that the Saddle Room met our expectations is an understatement.

First time dining there for a special event (not mine) and we will most definitely be back for more. Being the run up to Christmas we felt that it might be hectic but from the moment we entered we were made to feel special (hostess smiling and assisted with our coats)
Our waiter Ryan was just simply amazing.

Service was excellent and any question we had whether it be concerning the food, cocktails, whiskey or the history of the hotel even the rooms in the restaurant he had knowledge and was happy to listening to our stories and still deliver great service while doing so.

The food was delicious and served promptly with 2-3 bringing the food out using white gloves (nice touch).

We all agreed that this was one of the best experiences we have had. We could see that the staff got along as well. Ryan had praise for the management (Andre and Andrea, might be mixing them up) and one did come in to check on us.

Than you Shelbourne. Cannot wait to return.

Classical dining experience
The set lunch menu was great value considering the outstanding quality of the food and setting. The service was faultless. Shortly before leaving and having already paid the bill, I knocked over my tea cup and spoiled the table cloth. Upon apologising to a member of staff and without the slightest hesitation, I was offered another pot of tea. Incredible. Can't wait to go back. Don't wait for a special occasion.....every day is special.

"Excellent food, incredible service"
We visited this evening as part of a graduation party and we could not have been happier with the food and the service we received. We were served by James, who had only been on the job for a few days, but provided impeccable service with a constant smile. Our glasses were kept full and the food was outstanding. We would highly recommend and will return again.

"Best restaurant in Dublin!!!"
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the Saddle room. We ordered salads, chateaubriand and sides. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was 5 star. This was our favorite restaurant out of all the restaurants we dined at in Ireland!!

As guests at the Shelbourne, we also had breakfast here daily and this was also a delightful and tasty meal with cooked to order breakfast and a buffet of delicious choices.

"Marvelous meal"
We had dinner at the Saddle Room and enjoyed the meal tremendously. The pre theatre meal was extremely well priced and delicious. I had the plaice which was nicely prepared, and my daughter had risotto, also delicious. The wine we ordered was not cold enough initially, but the wine steward corrected that. The waiters were good and the rooms were elegant and attractive. Really pleased.
