Fantastic location topped only be the staff. I don't think I've been anywhere else in the world that has had more attentive staff.
Great selection of drinks and the restaurant has a varied menu so you're sure to find something you'll enjoy. The room we had was large with views of King John's Castle in the distance. Pool needed to be booked in advance but was very easy with plenty of slots to choose from.
The location is great. Just across the bridge are a selection of bars and restaurants. The castle and shopping are all within walking distance. If you are in Limerick, you'll be hard pushed to find a better place.

Excellent food, amongst the best I've had in the west of Ireland. Very surprised. Staff are super friendly too and it's a nice bar, very well decorated and plenty of room.

American's don't typically think of hotels as places to eat unless they have to. We had breakfast every day, lunch one time, and dinner another. All the meals were outstanding, but dinner was by far the best! I love that everything is sourced locally. Can't wait to visit Limerick again so I can eat here.

Got a lovely lunch for two upstairs at no.8 the square. Friendly staff and delicious food. I got the Duo salad, highly recommended.

"Good Meal"
We are staying in the hotel and got back late from a tour so figured we’d just eat here instead of venturing out for dinner. The food was great! My husband ordered a burger and enjoyed it and my salmon was excellent. The service was good too. They have a deal currently with a main dish or burger with a pint or glass of wine which ends up being a pretty good deal!

"Lovely Bar and Restaurant"
I've been for lunch here on two occasions and I was very impressed. The staff are great and the ambience is lovely. The hotel is very modernly decorated and it's an ideal spot if you are attending the maternity hospital across the road. Highly recommended.

"Best meal out in Limerick in a long time"
I never have dined in the restaurant part of The Strand Hotel before, ate in the bar a few times, so this was a real treat.

Lovely airy and bright room with surrounding windows, staff were so friendly and helpful. They placed a basket of delicious breads on the table after we Sat, yummy they were, couldn't have eatin the whole basket but had to save myself for dindin. Had the mushroom soup for starters, boy was it creamy, delicious, nearly licked the bowl and all. Fir mains I had the fillet of Salmon with an Asian twist, one of my friends knew all the queerly named things that were part or garnished on the Salmon, some black rice, citrusy stuff, Asian type cabbage and stuff but loved every bit of it, with sauted carrots and parsnips, yum, tastes and flavours were to die for. Fur dessert I had a trio of ice cream, chocolate fudge, rum and raisin and something else, can't remember, but delicious too. It is a bit pricey, but you pay for what you get, food was top notch and worth every penny, would highly recommend.
