In the heart of Waterford City is a restaurant that champions the local food experience. From the beginning, we have strived to offer the best of local produce where possible, to give value for money, to have fun, to provide great food and drinks & to have relaxed customers who can really let themselves go!!

Waterford is a hotbed for fresh, world-class quality local produce from farmer to fisherman. The finest seafood & shellfish from Dunmore East, Kilmore Quay & Castletownbere, to the most succulent of local beef or organic pork from The Comeragh Mountains, "Free-range" chicken from Wexford, and the famous "Blaa" from an artisan baker 500 meters away!

With a Local man in the Kitchen, Jamie Dowling, cooking up a storm, and restaurant manager Aneta, in charge of the front of the house, we can provide you with an experience to remember! Critics and regulars alike acknowledge this place is fun and different.

A small restaurant lit with fairy lights and candles coupled with slow relaxing ambient music. Though a small venue the tables are spaced out quite well so you are not on top of the other guests. The decor makes you feel like you are in a mountain village in Spain. The service staff were very attentive, proactive and thoughtful. They engage really well with guests. The food was fantastic, comes piping hot, the pork belly melts in your mouth and the chicken was extremely tender and moist, everything was well seasoned and tasty. It’s a great spot for a special occasion dinner in Waterford

Had a meal here on August 30th. The food was absolutely delicious. Very prompt service. Very friendly, helpful staff. Can't wait to visit again! 10 out of 10.

Excellent food and customer experience
We ordered dine at home dinner and cocktails. The food was delicious with generous portions. We really enjoyed the cocktails which came with seving instructions. Would highly recommend and looking forward to dining in Bodega when it opens for indoor dining.

This restaurant never disappoints
No matter how many times I visit Bodega, I am always blown away by the food, service and atmosphere. It has to be one of my favourite restaurants ever! Its a great place for a girls night out, and equally for a romantic night for two. I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't yet experienced it. I promise you won't be disappointed!

"Excellent service"
On a family trip down from Dublin went for a meal on Saturday evening adults and children in our party.
Wonderful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere.
Food was amazing and the overall experience was made exceptional by an excellent waitress who went above and beyond to make us feel like we were home from home being so nice to the kids such a warm friendly girl .she really looked after us and we had lots fun.
Will definitely be back when next in Waterford.

"Christmas lunch"
Went for Christmas lunch with some friends, must say food was fabulous and service excellent. We had a bottle of wine and am really sorry I didnt keep the name of it as it was super.will be back soon.

"Best restaurant in Waterford"
Bodega is the best restaurant in Waterford, local produce, fantastic staff, fabulous ambience. The staff surpass all expectations. No request too big or too small. Jovan is the best waiter, his wine recommendations and personal service is out of this world. If every restaurant had a Jovan they would all be doing very well!

"FABULOUS Experience Overall"
Jovan helped make this a fantastic evening for 4 weary travelers from Hawaii. We highly recommend Bodega. The steak was great, as was the shrimp linguini, and don't miss the tomato burrata salad - all were great and reasonably priced!
