Inchiquin House: Clare

This elegant Georgian period home in County Clare is the perfect luxury holiday property from which to explore the unique Burren landscape and historic sites and experience the county's many leisure activities.

The house is reached by a long avenue which provides splendid views over Lake Inchiquin.

Guests are welcomed in the relaxing period drawing room, on the ground floor, with the pleasant scent of local turf burning in the black marble fireplace.

The 5 bedrooms - two of which are ensuite- are tastefully furnished with period features and decor. All rooms boast unmatched views of the private garden, as well as Clifden Hill and Lake Inchiquinof.

The downstairs bathroom is a large renovated wheelchair-accessible bathroom featuring a wet-room style power-shower area.

At the rear of the house is the refurbished kitchen with cooking-school grade facilities and the opulent dining area which seats 10 comfortably.

Built around 1800, Inchiquin House is on a working farm, and cattle occasionally graze in the fields adjoining the avenue.

There is also a small storage building in the garden that was recently converted into a children's playhouse.

Inchiquin provides the perfect venue also for weddings, cookery school weekends and business meetings & events.

"Exceptional"
The location was fab! Anne was brilliant on check-in, she gave us a full house tour, recommended local activities to do and even baked us scones on arrival. The house is amazing and has so much character. I'll highly recommend to my friends and family.
