"What a super discovery"
We have literally just spent the night here, recommended by Marlfield House and from the moment you turn in the gate it is easy to see why! A beautiful old Georgian house with stunning mature gardens... Around an old courtyard.
Our beautiful room has a balcony looking out over the gardens...
The very gracious hosts John & Philomena looked after us exceptionally well.
Fantastic stay. Thank you! Adrienne & Paul

"The most hospitable hosts with a warm welcome"
On arrival we were given tea and hot scones, jam and cream. The place was spotless and eclectically and comfortably furnished with lots of antiques. Our bedroom was large and comfortable with views of the garden [no. 6]. We wandered round the large garden and if the day had been better would have enjoyed some peaceful reading by the large pond. As for breakfast the next day, it couldn't be faulted. A great selection of fresh fruit as well - all beautifully prepared.

"Birdsong and breezes in the trees"
Secluded, quiet location. Car needed but taxis available if going into Gorey to eat in the evenings. Scones and tea on arrival. Very old world but with wifi to boot. Away from traffic, tennis courts, pond and woodland on grounds. Fabulous breakfast grown in house garden or sourced locally. Tranquil and luxurious stay and I will be back.

"5 Star experience from the moment you arrive until you drag yourself away!"
Proprietors Philomena & John work as a perfect team making their home a haven of relaxation, beauty and total luxury! We chose to stay in their most expensive room as a special treat and it was excellent value for money @ only €60 B&B. Bed was very big and super comfortable with top quality bed linen so an excellent night's sleep was guaranteed. A balcony overlooking the garden meant we could enjoy the evening sunshine before going out to dinner in "The Bistro" Gorey, recommended by Philomena and well worth a visit. Flat screen TV has lots of channels and lovely comfy armchairs to watch from, a selection of magazines was also available.
Bathroom was sparkling clean as was the whole house which amazed me as there was so many beautiful antiques and yet not a speck of dust to be seen!
Breakfast was yummy and cooked to order. Freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit picked that morning in the fruit farm down the road! Locally made yoghurt and Philomana's tasty & crunchy brown bread...all delicious.
The attention to detail has to be seen to be believed. This house is worth a visit just to experience how a 5 Star B&B should be!
