"Lovely House and Breakfast"
The rooms in this B&B are very large and beautiful. The innkeeper Pam is very attentive and drove us to town and the train station. We didn’t have a car and this was very nice of her. There is a secondary train station that is a 10 minute walk from the house or the main station is about a 20 min walk. The train gave us a 25 min ride to Cork where we toured around with the city walking tour. We also toured the heritage center in Cobh. Pam’s homemade breakfast is excellent.

"Cozy home and a wonderful hostess!"
We arrived in Cobh in the mid-afternoon having driven from Waterford. It was a bit of a challenge to find Knockeven House, but after driving up the long, narrow driveway we knew it was well worth it!

Pam welcomed us with tea and scones and offered us some advice on local sights and dining options. We had a wonderful dinner (her recommendation) and a walk through the town.

She helped us plan our last few days in Ireland by giving recommendations on what to see (and not see!) and where to stay – even phoning a friend in Killarney and securing lodging for us that following evening!

Our room at Knockeven was very comfortable and the breakfast was top notch! Pam went out of her way to make time for us and get to know us.

"A wonderful long weekend in Cobh"
We sailed across from Liverpool to Dublin on the 3am sailing so arrived at Knockeven house in the late afternoon to be greeted by Pam. Pam is one of the warmest people you could wish to meet, she clearly loves where she lives and her enthusiasm in infectious.
We were shown into the front room and treated to tea and scones, and they were a treat.
Our room was huge with the feel you would expect from a large country house. The bathroom was very modern and well appointed, we had a lovely view from the front of the house over towards Spike island.
Breakfast, which I thoroughly recommend going for the full Irish, was superb.
Pam offered advice on the local area and was spot on with ideas of what to do and see, we made a trip over to Blarney castle and the English market on Pam's advice and found both destinations fascinating. When we come back to Ireland we will be staying again :) thanks for a lovely time.

"Great place to stay in Cobh!"
The house is beautifully kept for an old house, slightly cold but Pam, the home owner provided electric blankets on the beds so there was no cold issues when trying to sleep! She provided tea and scones throughout the day and was wonderful and very interesting to chat to. Pam was also great as we didn't have a car so she drove us in to Cobh town (5 minute drive) to get the train/go for dinner. Breakfast was also very enjoyable - continental and Irish breakfast available. The shower was amazing too! Very happy with our stay.

"Gorgeous Bed and Breakfast"
Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Knockeven House. Pam was the perfect Irish hostess. We were blown away by her home. We felt like we were in an episode of Downton Abbey. The decor was breathtaking. The amenities were impressive. Pam was very welcoming as she invited us in for tea and coffee around a roaring fire. She called and got us a wonderful dinner reservation in town. In the morning, we met downstairs for a delicious breakfast that Pam prepared. To top it off, she sent us a dozen homemade scones for the road. Wonderful hostess + Wonderful accommodations= Perfection.
