"3rd time staying at this great B&B"
We recently stayed at Kathleen’s for two nights during a trip to Ireland. My wife and I have stayed here multiple times with different members of our family and we keep coming back! Kathleen is a fantastic host. In addition to being very welcoming, she also has a wealth of information and contacts in the area. She made dinner recommendations and took care of making reservations for us each night. She also organized day trips for the Gap of Dunloe and a Ring of Kerry tour (door to door services with the buses picking us up and dropping us off right at the B&B).

The B&B location is a perfect location for a base to explore the sights and activities around Killarney. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff is always very welcoming. Breakfast is wonderful and Kathleen will greet you by name and make sure you are all set with any activities for the day. Kathleen takes great interest in getting to know her guests and making sure they are enjoying their time in Ireland. Even on our way out of town, Kathleen provided recommendations for interesting places and good restaurants along our drive to the next town. We would highly recommend staying at this B&B.

"Such a lovely place"
We only stayed one day but once were for there we wished we could have stayed longer. The house was beautiful and everyone was so helpful and friendly. I highly recommend staying here for as long as you can. The grounds were gorgeous and well keep. The breakfast was scrumptious and the coffee was outstanding.

"Great place to stay, excellent location, very friendly staff"
We (3 adults) stayed at Kathleen's for two nights from June 20-22, 2018. The trip advisor reviews were right on the money. The photos from the site and other guest perfectly show the rooms and breakfast area. This is a gem of a B&B. To start with Kathleen's Country House was easy to find based on the directions from her web site. There is more than adequate free parking. Upon entering the B&B we were all impressed by how clean the reception area during our check in. The receptionist was friendly and helpful as were all the staff personnel we encountered. The room and bathroom were spotless. Totally a top notch room. After checking into our room we went directly to Dingle. (We planned to do the Ring of Kerry the following day.) When we returned we met Kathy and had a nice chat about our plans for the following day. She gave us some excellent driving tips as well as some recommended sites to stop at and visit. Breakfast could not have been better. She greeted us by name at our table. The menu provides a good deal of options, the food was cooked to order and was served hot and fresh, the coffee was great. Do not let the 2 miles or so distance from the town put you off, it was a short drive - parking in the evenings is free in one lot about a block from the main shopping area. In closing, Kathy is a super host, very helpful, very friendly. Totally recommend this B&B.

"Superb"
We were greeted by Kathleen on arrival. She seemed to be around us our whole stay. She recommended trips, pubs, restaurants and seemed to be around us whenever we were in the guesthouse. I do not know how many rooms she has but it was full house while we were there and she still managed to remember everybody's name and who they were. Rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and was excellent. We stayed 3 nights. Would have liked to stay an extra day and chill out in her beautiful garden. Most highly recommended.

"Quaint, small hotel just on the outskirts of Killarney"
My wife and I were in Cobh and heading west. Our B&B host suggested Killarney and phoned Kathleen on our behalf. She had JUST opened for the summer season and said that it would be “lovely” to have us as guests. On arrival she welcomed us and showed us our room and helped us with a dinner recommendation (perfect) and plans for the following day. We were going to continue on – but ended up staying 2 nights and enjoyed her hospitality and personality! Everything was impeccably clean, the breakfasts were amazing and a solid value.

THE VERY BEST PLACE TO STAY IN KILLARNEY
This is the third time my wife and I have stayed at Kathleens Country Home.

The best part of the Irish countryside is Killarney. The best part of Killarney is Kathleen’s Country Home. It is a little outside of Killarney proper but pay that no mind.

Kathleen is a cornucopia of information. She knows everyone, and everyone know her. If you want to visit the Ring of Kerry, she will set it up. If you want to visit the Dingle Peninsula, she will set it up. If you want to visit Killarney National Park, she will set it up. If you want dinner reservations, she will set you up with the best. If you want wash and fold services, she will tell you where to go.

And then there is breakfast. There is no breakfast like an Irish breakfast, and Kathleen’s is the best. She does not serve pudding [no, it is not the pudding you expect back home], but Americans do not eat Irish pudding [blood and milk sausage].

Her gardens are immaculate. Take a walk and enjoy.

I believe that the best way to get to Killarney is by train from Dublin. Tell Kathleen when you train arrives, and I am sure that she will have Sean [the taxi driver] pick you up.

The worst part of Kathleens is leaving.
